Dell D630 Unable to Restart/Switch Off

Hi Guys

I have a Dell D630 running XP Pro. Recently I realise that it doesnt Restart no Switch Off when I press: Start + Shutdown OR even via Ctrl + Alt + Del.

The only way to shutdown is by pressing and holding the Power button.

Any ideas, thanks

If the notebook is under warranty Dell will sort it out.

Try physically unplugging the battery for 30 mins.

Check on your C:\ for a file called AdobeRd9.exe or similar. If you see that file you have a virus. Even if you don't see that file it could still be a virus or malware on your PC.
