My LG died on me again for the second time, so im Looking for a new one other than a lg. :-(

any suggestions for example, sony, philips, pioneer

Sony and Pioneer are pretty good, not too sure about Philips. Just stay away from Whalfdale, trust me...
 
Sony, as the Sony does not loose program settings during power outages like many other HD recorders.

Where do i buy one in PTA, Went to Dions, Game and Macro could only find LG's
