I really couldn't stop laughing when I saw the supposed 'leaked' images of next seasons kits for Manchester United and Chelsea. The images were leaked this week and some fans will be in for a shock when they see what the designers have come up with.

I may be mistaken but I believe that teams are required to wear the same home kit for back to back season's while being allowed a new away kit every season, so Liverpool and Arsenal will keep their same home kits while United and Chelsea will get new ones. Here are some of the images, brace yourself...

I'm sorry if I sound too critical but these designs are AWFUL!

But if you think that was bad have a look at the away kit!

The image of Wayne Rooney running around in this UGLY kit will be enough to give grown men sleepless nights! This is surely a contender for worst football kit ever?

Now on to Chelsea....

Not as bad as United's kit but another poor effort from the designers. They seem to have added some chest "panels" that gives it a bit of a swimsuit look. Not sure what genius came up with that idea but he also decided to add a zip! A zip?Seriously in 2009?

Anyways here are some images of Arsenal and Liverpool's away kits aren't exactly spectacular but not a disaster either.

What do you think of the new kits?:D

Apart from SAfootballfans any credible sites running with this story too?

Than Man U kits looks too dodge to be real.

Think they just fakes, no way would their kits all look that bad.

Notice the sponsor on the fake united top, here is a article published today by the telegraph stating united may stay with AIG.

But with next season's United strip – due to be launched in China on the first-leg of the club's Far East tour in July – already in production with the AIG logo in place, moves by AIG to change its name to AIU could leave United with a redundant sponsor for the duration of the 2009-10 campaign

I wish they were authentic. The Maunre kit is ghastly.

Last night on Top Gear Hamster referred to Rooney IIRC as a plank Shrek look-a-like :D

No matter what he looks like he still got a EPL winners Medal;)

1. there are no "rules" regarding wearing home or away kits for 2 seasons. The clubs do it as a courtesy to their fans, so the fans don't have to buy 2 new kits every season (for home and away). the choice is with the club. I'm pretty sure United's previous home kit (with the awful thick white collar) was only worn for 1 season, they said it was a special centenery jersey or some other marketing excuse for having a butt-ugly jersey...

2. these are definitely fakes, probably from somewhere in the far east or middle east... new kits are only released in july or later, so it's way to early even for leaked images to appear. maybe some idiot got scammed on ebay to buy these crappy knockoffs... you wouldn't believe how stupid and gullible some people are...

1. Thanks for Clearing that up

2. Liverpool's curent home and away kits were leaked about two or three months before the start of the new season and the guy who came out with the pics was attacked for releasing fakes. Then when the club released the kits they were exaclty the same as the pics he released two months before. So it does happen. How do we know for sure when it's too early?

3. Welcome to the forums:)

Look nobody is saying that these are real...but there is a chance that they could be :D
