Q:Secure (SSL) POP3 a/c's - Can anyone recommend local providers?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend any local providers that offer (preferably free) POP3 accounts with SSL secured username & password authentication?
 
Check www.dataspace.co.za - they offer free hosting and POP3 mail, but I'm not sure if secure authentication is included - no harm in asking them...

Thanks mbs, I remember you mentioned dataspace.co.za before- at the time I did consider them for webhosting, but not for ssl pop3.

Just searched their forum (altho not via google) for ssl AND pop3, no results, will google, and failing that I will send them an email.

Added: Just googled for that, no luck, but it did remind me that I wouldn't mind if IMAP access is provided- but I am primarily looking for authentication secured with SSL. I have emailed dataspace.co.za, will update here when I get a reply.

Then again there is always GMail which offers web (HTTPS), POP3 and SMTP with SSL. I know someone locally as well that could help with SSL SMTP, if you are interested PM me.

Thanks all, this thread predated my intro to GMail, which I am using ATM for secure pop3 & smtp username & password authentication.

DataSpace, thanks for the offer - I might very well do so when I have experienced my first capification (hence need for local) ;).
