Hi all

I want to create two PPPoE connections, so that when I use international sites I can dial into the international account and when I want to use local I can dial into the local account.

Can someone please help me with prices? What is the best price that an ISP can offer with these two accounts put together in one deal?

TIA

:)

If you looking for getting both accounts from one provider then I'd consider Axxess.

If you only need the international between 18h00 and 6h00 and on weekends, then you can get international for R45 / GB / month and local for only R10 / GB / month. If you want international to work all the time then you're looking at R59 / GB / month from them.

Otherwise consider just getting two Telkom Internet accounts. A 1 GB account is R79, so if you get two you can use the one account till you cap it, then use it as local and the other account as international. You can get a total of 3GB international and 20GB local for R158. The only problem is that after both accounts are capped, you have no international. This can be solved by getting prepaid international from Axxess, Webafrica, etc.

The ideal option in my opinion is to get an account from TI then get prepaid local and international from Axxess. In the beginning of the month you use TI for international and Axxess prepaid local (at R12 a GB it's the cheapest I know of) then when (if) the TI account gets capped you use Axxess prepaid (R70 a GB, or R55 a GB on the 626 accounts). In this case if you get the 1GB TI account, you can use a total of say 2GB (1.5GB from TI and 0.5GB from prepaid) international and 15 GB local for a total cost of R174 (excluding phone line and ADSL line rental).

Keep in mind TI 1GB accounts are R79 and usually give 1.5GB international and allow for 10GB local use after cap.

Thanks TheLoot for the detailed reply!

"You can get a total of 3GB international and 20GB local for R158"

Does you mean I this is one account or two? Because I really want two ( one specifically for local and one specifically for international) accounts so I can dial into the one I need at the time..

At the moment I am using OpenWeb founder's special - 3gigs international + 27gigs local for R279 p.m.

But that is one account, I want two :(

I just worked it out, "You can get a total of 3GB international and 20GB local for R158" - say this is one account, if I buy this and then buy the TI(does this stand for Telkom) 1GB for R79..

Thats 4GB international + 30gigs local (two accounts - perfect) - for RR158+R79 = R237

Cheaper than my current OpenWeb account..

But I would prefer two FIXED accounts - One for international ONLY and one for local ONLY

sorry for triple post :(

Any ideas on this? say 2-3GB int.. + 20 to 30GB local

Hmmm. I doubt you want to be restricted to only using international after 6pm so then the cheapest seperate local 30 gig option is the 10gig IS local only R79(can be bought anywhere but go with Web Africa for awesome service) Then telkom 1 gig @ R79 (gives you 10 gigs local) + nexus prepaid semi-shaped @ R35 for 500mb

Use telkom int first + IS local only and then use nexus and telkom local afterwards.

That's 2gigs int and 20 local for R195
