they haven't seen queues like this since 1994, some stations may extend their hours. announcement will be made within the hour
 
iI just heard that. I had the same impression when i went to vote. The queues seemed to go on forever! Nobody seem phased either. They were happy to stand there and wait to cast their ballot.
 
Our local station has ran out of ballot papers :O

I hope they get some soon!! Or if they don't, they better extend this election to tomorrow!!
 
I heard on SABC2 about 30mins ago they mentioned some voting stations in the North West ran out of papers and ink.

And the IEC said they only expect 80% voter turnout
 
That's awesome news! Well... it will be if the ANC do not get their 2/3 majority...
 
I am glad turnout is doing so well. South Africa is handling rather well this year I think.
