Anyway to split audio on one sound card?

As the title suggests, I'm looking to split the audio coming from my pc. I have a TV connected to the PC and I want to split the audio that goes to TV from the audio that goes to my screen. Reason I want to do this is so while I am gaming, my misses can watch the series I get.

Is there any way I can do this? I am using an onboard sound card on a GA-M57SLI-S4 board
 
It depends on the physical set up. i.e. how are you physically splitting the connection? One connection to the PC and a splitter?
 
I've done it before. There are different ways of doing this but what I did was I had my second sound card (A simple 5.1 C-Media PCI sound card) and just told Windows Media Player and/or classic to use the first sound card and then told the other programs to use windows default.

The other setup I had is that I plugged a set of USB headphones in and did the same thing basically.

If you have the audo coming out of ONE plug (The standard green audio out) and THEN only splitting, this is not possible.
