hey guys... i want neotel !

i live in oak avenue in randburg, the map indicates i have no coverage, there is coverage all around me, except exactly where my house is , i am on top of a hill, my friend down the road has coverage, i live on the second floor. i "believe" i do have coverage.

i phone neotel, they tell me i dont have coverage. no we wont send someone to test, we only send people to test who are already clients.

wtf????

neotel do you want my business or not?

do we have a neotel representative on this forum, like we do for voda and mtn?

you have the phone package? how is that diff to the data package? why my friend not having the problems you having?

Just ask your friend to come over and test it out.

Problems depend on the area.

eish i should have never said friend, this guy is never around. haha more someone i know than friend

Kvi - I have had Neotel since November 2008 and you honestly don't want to go there! Even though the phone works, forget using it for data. My current upload and download speed is 0.01kbps! Have been onto Neotel for more than a month and am still waiting for at least 14 people to phone me back 'in 10 minutes'!

Using Neotel makes dealing with Telkom a walk in the park!

I think like Qwikslver said... depends on area. Best to get someone to bring around a phone before buying. When we tested before buying, we only had 2 bars and an RSSI (signal strength) of 83, so we got the external antenna - and now we have full signal and an RSSI of 62 (lower RSSI is better).

I get between 55 and 100 KBps downloads. I have to agree that uploads are slow.

My speeds are currently quite good in Midrand but there were problems a few days ago. I think the good old advice 'test before you guy' is again applicable - definitely the case with any wireless service.

Fixed?;)

They have a very bad attitude for a new company. Their customer service is worse than Telkom.

you sure? mine is so bad I'm in tears....

I have neoflex and the past 48 hours it has been a nightmare - connection between 30 seconds to non existant - rebooted router more time than I care to remember.

Support, mwahahhahaha, what support, has anyone ever ever ever had a decent technical call answered?????

Oh yeh, I also have the R99 Lite, the quality of the actual line is so bad, the support techie asked me to switch off loud speaker cause he cant hear me, that was soooooo funny, he then mumbled it must be the handset that could be faulty.

sigh, I just hope the * that stole my Telkom cables gets run over by a truck one day!!!!!

well i got a pm last week asking me for my cellnumber so that they could call me.... nudda nothing... that tells me STACKS about a future with neotel.
even if they phoned now i would just at them
