Well I had IBurst for almost exactly a week and then the problems started.

Nothing bad at first but now for the last 30mins - 60mins my signal went from one light to nothing then kept disconnecting... :(

Anyone know why this happened?

Seems to be working now, just hope it stays working.

For as long as you have the signal and you are connecting, surf the net. when your speeds get slower, contact our call centre or any of the managers of the company. We are here to serve and nothing less. Have a happy mzansiBursting

I've managed to not ever phone a call centre since I've had the internet, don't wanna start calling now if I don't have to.

If I have a major problem then I'll phone, but since it's working again I'm happy again :)

I've had my first day of iBurst and ive been experiencing problems. Simply because I don't think there is signal in my area. It takes around 10-15 tries to connect! When i try connect, it jumps to 100% for 2 secs, then straight down to 0%. When it finally does connect, it fluctuates between 5 and 30%. Seems i'll be giving it back next.. Quite disappointed to be honest..

ibusrt, whilst I appreciate that you are taking the time to read the posts made by WBS' customers, and I accept that Dylan has authenticated you as being a WBS employee, I still don't know what role you will be playing, please could you clarify?

Essentially what we need is for a WBS employee to not only read about our problems, but also to take proactive action to respond with actual solutions.

I am willing to work with yourself or anyone else at WBS to tell you what needs to be done before all your customers cancel their contracts - recognise that the network problems being experienced by nearly all your customers still have not been resolved.

It's intelligent, well thought out and helpful posts like this by iBurst "management" that makes me glad they don't cover my part of Pretoria. As a side note, I assume mzansi points to the low cost national bank account launched in October, aimed at the lower income bracket. Don't think Iburst "management" can claim the same for their product

A "Mzansi" bank account has done nothing to reduce bank charges and is hard to call it low cost national bank account as in other countries where banks offer bank accounts free of bank charges to all - in fact some charges are higher than on standard banking products. All what has been achieved by the "Mzansi" bank account is to povide access to a bank account for the lower income bracket.

By iburst refering to "mzansiBursting" WBS intentions are clearly just to share in the spoils of an overpriced market internet market by providing a service to all where access to the internet is already availabe to all be it at home, work or internet cafe not a broadband internet connection at home.

The exact same thing was happening with me when i first got it, I moved the modem around for a bit and found a place when it is on 3 lights when not connected, as soon as I connect now it jumps to 5 lights and the signal is between 92 and 96%. I'd tweak it to try get 100% but the last time I moved it an inch to the right i was downloading at ADSL speeds :(
