Hardly ever used torrents - hate the idea of seeding with no cap...

I use the news servers etc.

What are the best torrent trackers around - the only one I really use now and then is the pirate bay.

Any other gooduns? btjunkie? etc etc?

Any suggestions.

Thanks
J

You all should be ashamed of yourselves! publicly giving a "big-up" to these Good for nothing "Torrents" or whatever - saying it's good to use piratebay, mininova and all that other GARBAGE - there is only one way to get the music and/or movies you love, and this just isn't the right way folks - there is only one way people - the good way, and that is Rapidshare. everything else sucks compared to it.

Unfortunately rapidshare is expensive, way more expensive than Giganews... and it's days are numbered now that it is a target for the RIAA/MPAA Mafiosa!

But yeah... it is a nice way to download if you can afford it.

No doubt about that. it is the best, but it comes at a price... :(

nothing compares to the top torrent sites.. if you really want stuff quickly.

and all the ones above are public trackers, not exactly any good.

I just about only use torrents. Mininova is my favourite although I sometimes use TPB and Demonoid.

rapidshare is gr8, u can buy it for 3months then after that its free 4ever if you know how

Lord Fubar, how many PM's have you had so far after that post?

My Post was actually a joke, lol.. I wonder how many people though "Oh no not another RIAA agent"

shud i write a tutorial? lol

its quite easy . . . this is how i did it:

1st, buy a 3 month premium account (1 month will do if u r really lucky)

in order to get account extensions after the period you paid for you have to earn rapid points, and to earn these you have to upload stuff.

once you have uploaded stuff you generate link lists, and these lists you have to advertise.

then you use google to find advertising platforms.
they come in the form of forums and blogs etc etc. any public place where you would typically find rapidshare links.

this is where you advertise your links. and people around the world will naturally download from your links, through which you earn rapidpoints.

uploading is the easy part, the tricky part is knowing what to upload, and even more importantly, finding the best places to post your links.

you can earn a maximum of 255 rapidpoints per day for premium members who download from your links. the amount of points you earn from free downloads are unlimited though. do note however that it is the amount of downloads from unique ip addresses set in a specific time. (e.g. 3 downloads from the same ip in x amount of time will only earn you 1 point).

once you have 10 000 points you can exchange it for a new 1month account or extend your existing account, you can even buy more download traffic.

3 months is more than enough time to earn far more than 10 000 points. you also get 3000 free when you register your premium account. the links dont expire either so they arent lost unless the advertising platform deletes them or they become too outdated.

you can choose to upload lots of smaller files in big quantities or large files split into multi part archives. the latter worked out better for me.

a good way to find out what the best thing is to upload is to monitor 0day release news sites and even easier, to check the piratebay top100

http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/4152/rapidqwq.png <- thats a file i uploaded ages ago but it was still downloaded recently.

the more effort you put into it the more points you earn meaning you will never have to pay for rapidshare again. if you take it one step further you can even start selling accounts. meaning you get money out of it. im sure some of you have seen people selling accounts for cheap. well now you know how they do it.

if you are too lazy to do this then you deserve to pay ;)
