Signed up for laptop and 250MB data Topup contract a while ago. Saw deduction of larger than expected amount from my account. No invoice from Vodacom. Used to this. Struggle to get invoice from Vodacom4me. Used to this. Saw that I was charged for data. Big mistake. Contact Cellucity. They made mistake. This was 5 days ago. Still did not get any feedback that my account will be credited. No apology either.

Vodacom3g,

Please help. Can you let me know if my account will be credited and if the contract is now registered as Topup on the system. The number is 0827462571.
Why is it not possible to see exact account type on Vodacom4me?

Because your account and billing relationship is with Cellucity. 4me is for VSP clients. So I won't be able to help, you'll need to take it up with Cellucity.

But let me know if it turns ugly.......

I am under the impression that when you deal with Cellucity, it is in fact a Vodacom SP account. I have always been able to get the full functionality on 4me. Confused. It turned ugly, the moment Vodacom deducted money from my account without my consent. Why cant I get my money back? How can it be that I must waste hours of my time on this? I am tired. Feel hopeless. In SA, the customer is always wrong.

Send me the number with the full story and all the contact details and let me see if I can help.

Have you tried any of the contacts on http://www.cellucity.co.za/contact.htm

Try Canal Walk Customer Care

I had similar issues after an upgrade. It was supposed to be a discounted weekender, but they "lost" the discount part somewhere in the upgrade process. Went in to the walk in customer care at Canal Walk and Glenville sorted it all out for me.

Vodacom3G,

Sent you a mail. This is still not sorted out.

You should have had a call by now from the head-honcho that will sort it for you.

Sound like this is a common problem (shops clicking on the wrong option when they load your new contract.), so maybe a good idea to triple check before you leave the shop. Not ideal, I know but an once of prevention......

The saga continues. Vodacom is trying to force me to sign the following if I want my money back.

"You are a valued customer and Vodacom Service Provider Company is prepared to credit your account for the amount of R 125.83 excl. VAT (100% of data usage on Invoice 03-04-2009, 03-05-2009 and 03-06-2009) as a once-off gesture of goodwill. You will be required to accept or reject this offer as indicated at the bottom of this letter. Please also ensure that you reply to [email protected] or fax document to 021 4008041 within two (2) working days of receiving this letter."

... making it sound like it was my fault

Ignore that letter. :)

I've asked them to not immediately stop stuffing up as it will be too much of a shock to your system. So, over the next few weeks, they'll gradually reduce the number of cock-ups so as to ease you into some sense of normality.

PS. I know they tried to call you early this morning to apologise for sending the letter out.

You know I am a loyal Vodacom customer. I just like complaining over every little discrepancy. Hopefully I force Vodacom to make process improvements for everyones benefit. It is my idea of charity. :)

I only received a call from the same person that sent the letter. This was after I complained to him that the process is flawed and that I refuse to sign. He basically just stated that his manager will be in contact.

I don't necessarily want them to call me. You have told me that I can ignore the letter. I am simply waiting for the last 2 amounts to be credited.
