Just would like to know if anyone knows of any issues regarding connectivity in the Garsfontein/Menlyn area. My signal went from 100% to totally gone the modem does not pickup any type of signal. Tested the modem with another one and a pig tale but I get the same effect. And usually they SMS you whenever the network is down. Tried phoning and e-mailing them but no reply.

Ja, I emailed them the other day regarding a client's wireless router.

Still no reply from them.

They're dead. :(

Normally you would still find an indication of signal even if you experience connection problems.

If the signal just disappeared, then it's a serious problem which could last for days and, yes, even weeks.

If you can convince NoWire (Tel: 012 683 9270) of the problem you're having, they will log a ticket with Sentech.
Reason: Sentech might believe them, but they might not believe you.

I know... it's horrible. They're in the worst state they've ever been.

By the way, the other day it took Sentech more than two weeks to solve a simple connection problem on the Fourways tower.

Think you can buy a Vodacom prepaid sim for R1.99 at the local Pick 'n Pay.....load some airtime on it and convert it to data.

Then the pain will go away. :)

*runs away quickly*

Worse? How can they be worse? This seems like the exact customer mentality they had back when they started out...

I don't think that they have enough users to justify fixing a tower when it goes down. You may well find that something blew up on the tower and they have no spares. That means that your area just won't have coverage anymore :(

yep... the few customers they have are all waiting for them to leave us. My connection works like a charm. But then I dont have any other options when everything goes belly up.
