how to max your connection on websites (Firefox)

I've spoken in the past about how the only way to really guarantee you max out your connection with downloads you should use multithreading (an app that will download many pieces at once and put them together later).

Well now you can do the same thing with FireFox which increases the speed quite a bit (both with webpages and file downloads). Follow the directions here

It's a pretty neat trick.
 
just a little follow up, before even though my downloads would go at 120 kbps telkoms speed test would say i was around 340 - 560 kbps

now it says this Your line speed is approximately 922.7 Kbps or 113.1 kBytes/sec
and that was while downloading somethign :)
 
Nice one, Slim.

I'm using Mozilla 1.7.5. Made a definite improvement to the speed tests, and much more in line with the download speeds I'm seeing. I found the nglayout.initialpaint.delay better set at 2, but still experimenting...

Telkom just told me I'm going at 1176Kbps!!! Can't they get anything right?
