Gee i have been impressed with iburst so far but tonight it has really hit the sweet spot. Downloading at a constant 50-60KB/s on a "shaped" protocol!! If this is shaping can i have some more please.

Can I quote you on this 2 months from now when Kempton is the same as the other towers? ;)
But I will agree anything less than 110/120k is not acceptable, although we are talking about a shaped protocol here, so anythign above 6k is more than you signed for.

Yea, i've done some tests over the past couple of weeks (tonight is Kempton's turn) and I've found that it's not that they lack the bandwidth, but that the tower is pretty much congested.
I think the reason why they have the japs over here is because of the software upgrade they need to make (and the fact that amplifiers blows more than paris hilton did in that video)
WBS probably made the same rookie mistake as Sentech did, bought inferior equipment that claims it can handle that load. Sentech probably still have a problem with the point to multipoint microwave antennae....

I think there are less users connecting to Kempton Park than Northcliff.

I must say when it's sweet, it's very, very sweet! I recall only 1 sub-par day in the past 10.
Things are flying. Hope it stays this way.
Actually the service is way too fast for the planned cap. Iburst, please make it 5 or 6Gb.

Good to you guys...
I reckon that my dl's on a shaped protocol, which by the way peak at about 120kbs, are stunning. I have used adsl & sentech.
You will have to shoot me if you want to take my iburst away.
ps - the Australians are happy with it....
They were also set up by the japs..
Dont knock something while its is still in a testing stage. Look at their track record. IMPRESSIVE :) :)
