Dont wanna play DVD anymore..............

Hope I'm in the right place.My problem is my PC at home do not want to play any DVD's I hire from the DVD store,it dont come on and you cant open or explore it.Any older DVD's play 100% its just the new releases that you cant watch.Is there a remedy for this problem guys?:confused:

Download and install a trial of AnyDVD from Slysoft.com and see if that improves the situation.

Rental DVDs are also scratched or dirty, some drives won't play em.

It could be a COPY Protection thing then, AnyDVD will usually help then.
Download it and install.

Sometimes your ASPI drivers may be screwed. There is an ASPICheck utility available on the Adaptec site.
 
Ok,I'm at work now but I will have a look at the DVD driver tonight.So I must then replace the DVD drive,thats not nice.:(

Ps its does ;)

Phone your dvd store and ask them for the regional unlock code for your model DVD player, if this does not fix it google your dvd model code + problems with playing new dvds.

No. If he was using a player that checked region a message would come up that the region is incorrect. He just needs to upgrade the firmware.

I've had the same issue with games before too.

it's a pc dvd drive
