Hi all

Ive had this monitor for a while now, few months maybe. I turn my PC on today and all is fine then suddenly this green line from top to bottom appears on the right hand side of my screen.

You guys think its the screen thats faulty? Ive had this screen for a while now so im worried i wont be able to send it back.

It should have a one year warranty with Samsung. I reckon it is faulty. But try plugging it into another PC just to make sure it's not your graphics card or something.

Ive got my old monitor here still...ill give it a shot.

I gave prophecy a call and they said i should email their tech support which i did.

Guess i shouldnt have ordered my monitor of Friday the 13th...

I had a prob with a line in the middle of the screen and the right hand side being out of focus for about two minutes befor the screen warmed up. Not a good buy IMO !!!

Just plugged in my old 17". No line...so the screen must be faulty...dammit!

Im not even sure i still have any of the boxes...will that be a problem?

Bought it from prophecy...online so i got my order number and my online reciept.

if you in the JHB area take it directly to MTC repairs, http://www.mtcrepairs.co.za/
They are responsible for all samsung repairs.
It will be much faster than to ship it back to prophecy.
Ur screen will still be under warranty so you should have it fixed in 2-3 business days

edit: oh, and you dont need a invoice of box of any kind. they scan in the serial nr on the back of the screen

Just FYI all Sammy and LG screens have a 3 year warranty. That's what the lady at CTX in CT said. They do all the repairs.

No matter where you purchase them from? Like IC often advertise things with only a year warranty...

Many retailers only advertise 1yr although the manufacturer offers 3yrs and they will honor it.
