Hi folks

It is great news that we have broken the 3000 member mark! With far over 100 000 hits daily and over 45 000 pages served every weekday we have become the true voice of broadband in South Africa (nice slogan isn’t it :D). As always I must thank you guys for your continual support of MyADSL and for sharing your knowledge and experience on these forums. Without this sharing of information one might have even believed that there were only 20 people having problems with their connection :D.

If you guys can ever think of any way in which we can improve the site or MyADSL as a whole please let us know.

Regards,

RPM

nice going rpm - this is just the beginning, no doubt ;)

It's also very encouraging to see that ZA broadband operators are starting to use these forums to "officially" interact with their clients.

Very significant development ...

congratulations and thanks to all those on the forum who work their butts off to make it what it is

heres an interesting stat taken off the bottom of the homepage
Currently Active Users: 153 (54 members and 99 guests)
for every 1 registered user browsing the site, there are 2 unregistereds.

do the math on how large the subscriber base actually is!

From Small beginnings

RPM absolutely Great News
.
It's the ooooooonly site worth visiting on a variety of IT issues a virtual one stop info shop.

Today South Africa. Tomorrow ?

Thanks to everybody who visits the site and help make it the treasure-trove it is. The bulk of what is done on this site is with the participation of thousands of individuals who are making a collective difference.

Thank you,
Antowan

Any recommended way to let you know?

It is truely impressive that this site has grown so much in such a short time. :D

Hi DFantom

The best ioption is always to publish the ideas on the forum for discussion, but email and PM will also be effective :D My apologies for the delayed response…

Regards,

RPM

I don't see the lurkers as being a major problem....i have been registered for some time now and i have learnt alot through the discussions on the forum, however often when i have an opinion or point of view it has already been expressed by another poster before i get a chance to post it! Truth is i recommend people to this site all the time and i really feel that we are slowly but surely informing people as to the reality of the current South African Telecommunications situation.

There are probably more regular unregistered users (I know quite a few) than those who are registered but prefer to lurk. It all evens out in the end. So lets stop worrying about inactive users. I have absolutely nothing against lurkers (I'm a lurker on a few other boards). At some stage, the lurkers will "delurk" and then we may very well have a case like our friend ic - 2,336 posts in 3 months ;)

Something just struck me - 2,336 posts at R100 a pop = R233,600 = R77,833.00/month over the 3 months! Hey IC - given your prolific output, ever thought of putting pen to paper/fingers to keyboard and attempting writing for profit?! ;)
