My 1st encounter with the Blue light train.

Howzit.
This is not the usual rant and moan regarding the blue light train.

Yesterday from Midrand (N3) onto the N1 north, I saw the convoy on the road ( two Gauteng Metro Police cars ) doing an escourt or whatever for a VIP.
Now this was not the usual push you out the way and trying to shoot your head off blue light train. Instead they drove the speed limit and also had a propper following distance behind me.
When I saw the flashing lights and sirens I thougth " oh boy here we go " but instead they waited for me to get out the way and proceeded onto the N1 North untill Zambezi off ramp, and they drove like ..... model road users.

So to those cops in the convoy yesterday WELL DONE for adhearing to the road signs.

Very good to hear.. In cape town on monday I nearly got written off by a the traffic police.. with thier blue light escorting a huge bus. probally soccerplayers

Nah- last time I went to jail, the convict bus was driven at double the speed limit, in the wrong lane and with no escort... I think it's their alternative to the death penalty.

the front guy was probably on his cellphone and trying to unwrap his donut at the same time.
