I'm having a problem in cinematics. Right when I start the game i have this nasty blurry line running from the bottom of the screen to the top. It's irritating and spoils the cinematics.
All settings are maxed out at 1440x 900. I've tried reducing settings but the blur effect it still there.

I'm running an HIS HD 4870 512 MB with 4GB RAM. Any help plz?

Some info that may be helpful to post in order to aid anyone who wishes to help you troubleshoot:

1. What OS are you using?
2. Which version of the ATi drivers are you using? If not the latest, get the latest.
3. Which version of DirectX are you running (Start-->Run-->dxdiag)? If not the latest, get the latest.
4. Could you post a screenshot of the blurry line?
5. Any other detailed information that could help.

Slightly off-topic but as i am busy grinding my way through this game...

It actually gets quite good later on. I was getting a bit bored of it to begin with as it just throws you in and lets you try figure it out without helping you in ANY way, the story does get decent.

So if your new to it, just keep playing and i hope you fix your graphics problem.

Not much you can do about that, I'm afraid. I hear that lowering the shadows, setting the frame limiter to 60 and also forcing V-sync sorts it. But the "shadows" is what affects it, so lower/increase it until you get some improvement.

I left my settings at max though out of sheer stubbornness, so I can't confirm if that works.

upgraded to latest direct x and ati drivers. Using win xp sp3. If there's no way to get this silly blur out then I'd guess I just have to try to ignore it. Compromising so much of quality to get the problem fixed doesn't seem worth it.
