iBurst Slow at WBS Office as well

Last week I went to WBS to get a few modems, I did a Transfer using the one pc on the left as you enter the door.

Now this two PC's connect via a UTD, and the speed was pathetic,
Signal was 100 %, I did a test to tucows.saix.net and tucows.mweb.co.za, speed was 4 - 5 kbps.

A transfer from ABSA took me 10 minutes to complete.

Wake up and small the roses WBS ! You might as well get a pigeon and use that to carry your data across the airwaves that might be faster.
 
I don't understand what you saw, because I haven't had a local speed test under 900kbps for several weeks now. Roughly 200 times faster than your claim.

What did WBS have to say when you pointed this out them?
 
Heheh.. I remember signing up there too and pointing out that speeds were slow. There also on the 21st floor i might just add...
 
He he... when I signed up in November 2004, the tower that covers their offices was down.
They didn't have an internet connection to do the transfer :p :p :p

But that didn't phase me.
