I am looking at about R300 (R400 maybe).

I need my work PC today, and they can't give it to me because they don't have a screen card and or drivers for the onboard.

I want to buy something that I can use at home when they eventually get their act together, so I want to use the SLI (or something) functionality. I have a Nvidia chipset at home so I am looking at a Nvidia card.

For that money you might pick up a an 8600, which should prove okay for the basics but dont expect great gaming experience from it though...
