Hey guys, I'm hoping someone can help me.

My wimax was installed about 2 months ago and it's working really well as I've reported before. The only thing is that I am yet to receive an invoice for it.

I've tried calling almost every single account queries phone number that Telkom has, and nobody there can tell me who to speak to in order to query my Wimax account. I get sent from pillar to post.

I can't even get past some of the accounts query lines because they ask you to key in a 10 digit phone number linked to the account, and of course there is NO telephone number linked to Wimax.

Anybody have any suggestions as to who I can contact at Telkom to sort out my Wimax billing? I don't even having an account number.

Have you tried going to a Telkom Direct shop? They should accept your ID number too...

Go to a Telkom Direct shop with your ID and the circuit ID of your service.

You should find this in the manual the installers left with you.

When you get there ask them to locate the account - if they cannot ask them to get hold of Annetjie Kidson (they will find her number on the Telkom Outlook program they have) - she should be able to get you the account details

Hope that helps - don't leave it otherwise you will find there is a suspension and perhaps even a recovery order - then you will have problems

Hope that helps

Thanks for the tip. The manual they left me with has no circuit number in it, it's just a few photocopied pages. Do you reckon my ID number should be enough?

His location is Cape Town - not the sticks like you

Not sure why you would find it necessary to make a remark like that when there is a solution on the table - I know it works as I had the same problem and to be honest they were really good a solving the problem (which should not exist in the first place)

Your Id shopuld help - but then be sure to take all your address details -even stand number if you have that - I found that the address I had (whereI live) is not what is in the Municipal database which TSA uses for their purposes as well

Also if you ahve a phoone take a copy of an account with you

Do you know how to get your Circuit ID ??

No idea how to get the circuit ID, could you tell me how?

So I went down to a Telkom Direct store this morning to query my Wimax account, and guess what? They have absolutely NO record of any wimax installation linked to my ID number in their system. My wimax installation has been working perfectly since 2 May, and apparently they have no record of it.

Well, I have to say that I have now given up. Either I am the luckiest guy, or I am going to receive a massive bill in a year's time. I've never encountered a company before that has absolutely no interest in a client trying to pay for a service.

Just put the money aside each month, save it, earn interest on it, that way you have it when the bill comes, or in 20 years time you have a very nice stash :)

The problem is that eventually an audit process may reveal the problem , and wham .. cut off.
Now, if you're relying on the WiMax service, this is a sucky situation.

I'd say, wait till monday, phone 10210 and explain the situation.

I'm not suggesting keeping quiet about it is the way to go, but it sounds like every possible avenue has been explored, with regards to trying to inform Telkom. My advice was based around; do not spend the money, and then in a year or two's time be shocked when they try charge you a few thousand rand.

I've already tried calling every Telkom number available. Either the person does not know what Wimax is, or they tell me to call another number. When I call the other number, I am told to, guess what, call another number. And so it goes on and on, being sent around in an endless circle of twits who tell me to call yet another number.

In any case, the person at Telkom Direct told me they have no record of it linked to my ID number, so there's no way they can currently resolve the situation, because they cannot link me to any service.

Just make sure you have the reference numbers they give you when you contact them.
In case they want to sue you or something.

Try 10215 option 1 and 4

That doesn't work cos it asks you to key in the 10 digit Telkom telephone number related to your query. Obviously there is no Telkom telephone number linked to a Wimax account. Thanks anyway.

I canceled my landline after I got Wimax, and I don't have the circuit number. Any idea how to find out what the circuit number is? Maybe I should try calling the company that did the Wimax installation.
