Sorry if this is a topic that has already been covered, but what do I need in order to connect my Motorola E1000 as a data modem for my PC? Do I still need an ISP for email? If so, which one is recommended for simple email and browsing requirements?

Hey 3gNewbie,

Basiclly, just a connection from the phone to your PC via Bluetooth/USB.
Install the mobileTools software (not sure if you can skip it - think you can)
Make the connection ! :)

You only need the ISP for email nothing else - remember to use smtp.vodacom.co.za for sending via 3G unless your ISP enables SMTP AUTH - don't think so

HTH !
