Strike happening across the country - and the innocent people they draw into it

I've seen a lot of striking happening on the news lately and the majority of these strikes have one or more incidents of the strikers stoning cars passing by. Why on earth do they feel the need to stone the cars of those that have no involvement with the strike?

"Hey, here comes a car, they don't have anything to do with what's going on here but let's stone their car anyway."

The collective IQ of a group = the sum of the lowest....
 
* Mob psychology
* Feeling of impunity (very little fear of arrest)
* Raised emotions (toyi-toying around can get people worked up, also linked to mob psychology)
* Us vs them mentality
.
.
* It's fun
 
These people need to learn to be civilized. You wouldn't see a group of white people striking the way those who have been striking have (inciting violence). There are other ways to go about showing your dissatisfaction regarding your salary/wage.

Those with chips on their shoulders need not comment on the above. I'm not racist. I just dislike tribal tendencies and violence towards innocent bystanders.

Durban - Members of the SA Unemployed People's Movement went on the rampage on Wednesday afternoon looting shops in Durban, police said.

A hundred people were arrested after hundreds of people stormed Shoprite Checkers and Pick n Pay, said Captain Khephu Ndlovu.

"Earlier today (Wednesday) we received information that the organisation was going to hold an illegal march. We then decided to deploy our members in town to monitor the situation," Ndlovu said.

Ndlovu said 35 women and 15 men were arrested at Shoprite and 50 people were arrested at Pick n Pay at the Workshop shopping mall.

He said they would be charged with looting and theft.

Los Angeles riots in 1992? Anyone remember that truck driver who was randomly picked out of his truck and beaten within an inch of his life simply for being in the area. Perfect example of mob psychology.

Last time I checked Europe (UK included) was full of white people. And they have some serious strikes.
 
Where do they get the tyres from?

No, really, where? I had to replace two tyres on my car about a month ago and it cost me R1K cos I knew the guys and got a discount. So, when we have these protests, we always hear about people burning tyres. Where do these tyres come from? Do the tyre shops ditch them on the roadside where the next strike is expected? Do unions or community leaders buy up used tyres for use in protests?

I really gotta know the answer to this one...

This is South Africa not Europe. So the person probably saying what he sees in South Africa
