Yes, experienced this THREE times when loading a data bundle onto NEW prepaid SIMs. Funny thing is, found an old SIM, loaded data onto it, and everything ran smoothly. Loaded a second bundle, and then this crap started happening, too. Thought it may be SIM/Number related, so picked up a new starter pack yesterday, loaded a bundle and guess what? 10MB in, and it hangs, and hangs, and hangs... 4 SIMs, all different numbers, all prepaid, and they're fooked. My guess is the bundles with expire, and I'll have lost my money by the time this is sorted out (it happened before a few months ago, but then seemed to rectify itself somehow - could they maybe just do what they did last time?!) - I'm not gonna hold my breath!
Took some peoples' advice, and tried Vodacom again, but the connection is just too unstable for my liking. Too much packet loss, really bursty, and no good for gaming (which is what I use the internet for mostly).
If they're imposing some sort of usage cap, they could at least inform us - what they're doing is just bad business in all aspects. We're paying customers. They're not providing the service we expect them to. Think it's time for ICASA to step in?
Just a thought about it being prepaid and all: I noticed when checking the balances on my SIMs, that they all have free airtime for MTN-to-MTN calls - could this affect it somehow?
