sick of pinging? tray it!

I hate pinging so I have set it up to start when I start windows, but it still sat in the taskbar the whole time taking up space which gets on my tits, so I went googling and found a solution you guys might like to know about.

Its an app called tray it and it lets you minimize any app to the tray even if it doesn't support it, and its as easy as pressing ctrl while minimising, great stuff.

Silly question perhaps, but why are you pinging all the time ?

for linux:

append to your /etc/rc.local file (a !/bin/sh script)

'ping www.wbs.co.za &' removing the quotes

no worries

Oh i thought the plan was that maybe we could all download it and ping telkomsa.net..

if you want to run continous pings, try ping plotter :

it does it via a tracert as well, so you can graphically see which node is giving you the problem...
