The tests done on the Durban man who died last week of what was initially reported as being the H1N1 virus, were inconclusive. Thus meaning that no one can say for certain whether he had swine flu or not.

records that as of July 2009, 168 countries and overseas
territories or communities had reported at least one laboratory
confirmed case of the pandemic, with all continents affected.

Bit of bummer getting swine flu when you're stuck in one of those Antarctic research stations...

Or the newspapers are being sensationalist again. Surprise, surprise.

They probably didn't include Antarctica as one of the continents since it doesn't have a stable and permanent population.

Then it is bad reporting, unless Antarctica has been downgraded recently.

It's just that no-one - apart from research teams - lives there.

And even the research teams aren't exactly permanent.
