Like that title says, I'm leaving for uk , and just want to access web and email from wifi zones around th uk, is this possible with a locked phone from vodacom?

I don't really want to unlock or jailbreak the phone.
Thanks

If it came from Vodacom it shouldn't be locked in the first place.

Ok, great, my bad, i thought it was locked!

Wicked! one less thing to plan :D

wifi zones around th uk,
Will work 100%, otherwise the networks or Apple would have to approve every Wifi access point in the world for use with the iPhone. Locking only applies to the portion of the phone communicating over the cellular network.

If it came from South Africa it shouldn't be locked in the first place. It is illegal to lock a phone to a particular network in South Africa.

It's a moot point, phones from South Africa are not locked to a network and most certainly not from WiFi access points.
