Cosatu: Zille hasn't delivered

A hundred days into office, Western Cape Premier Helen Zille and her administration have yet to deliver, the Congress of SA Trade Unions said on Friday.....

Someone accidentally put Helen Zille's name everywhere Jacob Zuma's was meant to be placed. I mean really, is COSATU so blind?

On the economic front, there was nothing in place to reverse job losses or create new jobs, while housing and service delivery "has not moved forward an inch".

Wait, isn't that the job of the National Government?

If the ANC couldn't build houses in 15 years, how is the Western Cape government expected to do that job in 100 days?

The only thing Zille had done was to halt the good things that were put in place in the province by the previous ANC administration.

Name one good thing the ANC did in the Western Cape that was halted.

I'm so pissed off with Cosatu :mad::mad: I hope the eat their words in 5 years time!

Lol. Cyril anyone? Cosatu is bought and paid for. Union leaders are Zuma's prophets to the mob. He tells them what to do, the union leaders tell the mob what to do, believe, who to blame, etc. Union leaders obviously get a piece under the table and the wheels of the bus go round and round.

I think they got it right. What has she done except talk about cars. She can't even be trusted to keep our mountain from getting sold.

Really?

Do you honestly think they got it right?

What have the ANC delivered in the last 100 days? (that they have only been able to start in the last 100 days)
What "positive" things have the DA discontinued?

I think the logic here is out.
We are talking about Zille, not the ANC. We know what they did/didn't do. Let's not use a smokescreen, let's make a list of achievements.

Well as I said they're complaining that in 100 days Zille hasn't delivered the houses they were supposed to have delivered in 15 years!

The ANC has had 8 times as much to deliver as the DA, so even if this were true and not Cosatu blowing their useless mouths off again, the ANC would have delivered 8 times less!

Everyone has been chanting, and especially Cosatu, about how Zuma has only had 100 days. I believe that is the same amount of time Zille has had.

Lets give them both till at least the end of 3 years to see if anything has been put into effect.

I do know this much, Zille has stamped out, for the most part, backhanders and the buddy-buddy system. So, even if that is all that has been delivered in 100 days, its a good basis to ensure quality development throughout the province with the right man for the right job approach.

timgaul : I agree with you fully...

I'm just getting tired of Suckboi's constant harping on about "issues" with the DA, but when he is challenged on his tirades, he just starts trying to duck and dive.

You must really hate criticism of the DA and Zille.

I don't mind that, if you would respond to what is said, instead of a personal attack. I didn't make this headline or any other. Take it up with the Argus newspaper who put it on the front page.

If facts offend, go play with your wii.:p

I recently heard that she turned the deficit in the WC around and now they have a few million in bank already?

In 100 days that is absolutely amazing, what has COSATU/ANC done in this 100 days that gives them the right to point fingers?

Give a measure by your actions that we can measure and judge if Zille is up to speed, or should we do it the other way around? Use her performance as the yard stick?

Wait, isn't this a personal attack.

Pot... kettle... black.

My wasn't a personal "attack" Sackboy.. it was an opinion based on an observation regarding your posting habits Sackboy.....

I am actually all for criticism of the DA btw, as long as said criticism is justfied and has a reason. You will jump on some non-existant bandwagon and start your little tirades over, for example, a stop sign that hasn't been repainted on some random road in a backwater suburb of Capetown and use that as a reason the DA are useless.

It appears as though other parties are fair game and the DA is not.

As for Zille, she is a public figure and a poliitician. I have proved that she tells lies as well. I'm quite within my rights to criticise her and her colleagues when they are not performing or trying to mislead the public. I would rather you didn't shoot the messenger, but rather argue the point.

Sackie, saying that she claimed to eat chicken instead of beef on thursday, means yes she did lie, but it's not really worth the time to proclaim it to the world.

Come on, be honest here, it's because she and her party kicked your party out of the western cape, and now seem to be doing ok there, that you are on her case. As well as the fact, that she is white and a female, who dares stand up for herself.
