Telkom and CWU reach agreement

Telkom workers have been instructed to go back to work on Monday after the Communication Worker's Union (CWU) and the telecommunication provider reached an agreement, the union said on Saturday.

7,5% from 1 April 2009??? This is exactly what the other unions and non-union members got!!!

Without having to strike...

That's what usually happens. Are these idiots going to get paid for the time they were on strike as the no work no pay rule applied?

Still the same ....

the difference is

Quote:

"This will translate to a total increase raging between 31,40 % for the lowest paid CWU members and 7,5% for the highest paid CWU members within the bargaining unit respectively."

Nope the percentile progressions are the same. So it will be the same for SACU, Solidarity and non-unionised employees.

And there going to be plenty of p*ssed of Telkom employees when they realise that they are already within the higher percentile ranges and therefore won't benefit.

Did they get what there were striking for? Or the agreed offer was worse than the initial offer from Telkomsa, What will be the next year shift? Especially at the percentile story
(50% or 60%).
