Fat vs slim PS3, what do you think looks better?

It does look a lot cheaper but that's because it is. Saying that though, I hope they've made the same amount of hardware improvements which the slim PS2 saw over it's overweight older sibling. IIRC the slim PS2 resolved a lot of the hardware issues the older one had.
 
I like the slim one and people say it looks a lot better in front of you than in pics on the net

I've repaired a lot more slims than fattie. The v12 slims were pathetic. But they did eventually get it right.

I've still got my fattie with the internal HDD - never given any problems. (After doing the LA mod to save the laser!) :)

I think the new one looks terrible, like its a cheaply made Chinese clone that plays genesis games. Good thing I already have the glossy one :)

Geez how long have you been repearing playstations for? I can't even remember what the fat one looked like :D
 
I love my Phatty. I was asked if I would trade it in for the slim, and my answer was "never".

The phatty is beautiful, and I love the touch sensitive front panel. Buttons are so 2008.
 
The matte finish is definitely an improvement. For the rest I'd actually have to see and use it. I don't like the slim PS2. Of course I would not have known what I was missing if I had never had the full size model.
 
I like the shiny one with the Spiderman font....

The new one looks cheapish... like an overgrown PS2...
 
Can the Hard Drive still be changed in the PS3 Slim? I can't see it on the bottom anymore in the pictures. It would suck if you can't.
 
Love my fatty. It fits with black gloss TV and surround sound. But will have to see what the new one looks like. Pictures can be deceptive
 
I prefer the more minimalist look of the Slim. Still dig my phatty, but the Slim is pretty sexy in its own right.
