the wrath of born-again hackers : Richard Dawkins site hacked
ANTI-MONOTHEISTIC scientist Richard Dawkins seems to have attracted the wrath of born-again hackers who seem to think it is Jesus's will to silence the prophet of atheism.

According to Countermeasures, Dawkin's forum, where people pat themselves on the back about the non-existence of watchmakers, was turned over recently.

Dawkins manages to miff almost everyone who has not accepted atheism into their hearts. He even attacks fellow scientists if they do not believe his vigorous nihilistic faith.

The 68,083 forum members of RichardDawkins.net were sent an invite from a forum admin's account to sign up to a warez site. We guess it was survival of the fittest atheist as to who visited the warez site.

All the emails addresses harvested will be sent to cells of church goers to be prayed over, and perhaps to be visited by lynch mobs of loving Christians eager to show them the error of their ways.

Site admins managed to fix everything yesterday having evolved the site to deal with future attacks.

No one is saying how the hackers got in, but if they had access to the forum admin account, they very probably had access to a large amount of user information including hashed passwords and email addresses.

It can't have been your A-grade hacker. Apparently he left a path to his registered .com address. We expect that Inspector Knacker of the Yard will be visiting the hacker soon to say something like "Behold I stand at the door and knock..." µ

It was probally an automated hack. Im not sure how they can blame Christian lynch mobs for this... I mean, if it was hactivism it would have had a hacktivist message. It had a link to a spam warez site instead.. which to me problally means the hack was automated.

There are also very very very few true Christian hackers that would have the capacity to do this. To the man, every single hacker I know is an atheist.

Terrible "journalism". Its like a kid with crayons wrote that. Like why call Dawkins "ANTI-MONOTHEISTIC"? Like ... wtf?

must be the natural selection going there

Honestly, who is surprised? Dawkins is not exactly a fan of intelligent design (although he is open to the idea that aliens might have made our cells ). So why would he apply intelligent design to his website to stop hackers? Pfff :p. Pointless and stupid metaphysics and philosophy = non-intelligently designed hackable website :D.

If it is true, then I am not surprised. Dawkins is about as vitriolic and bitter as you can get and has certainly cheesed off a lot of people. His particular brand of atheism is about as offensive as some of the religious crazies themselves.

So of all the thousands of websites that get hacked every day, an atheist website gets hacked and its suddenly a Christian's fault. Not even muslims blame Christians for all the websites that get hacked every day!!!!!!!!!

BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA :D:D

Is he? Everything I've seen of Dawkins presents him as a rational, well-spoken and intelligent person.

The highest level of hack a born-again can reach is script kiddie level.

haha seriously? Most people find him arrogant and unbalanced... and those are mostly from the scientific fraternity. The religious folk just find him a typical fool.

Unbalanced? Every argument he presents is well reasoned and carefully constructed.

If you want to see unbalanced, look at the people he is arguing against, who could construct an argument if it hit them in the head with a pogo stick.

As for arrogant, have you ever been to a His-People service - I had the misfortune of attending a funeral there - but I was tempted to film the service, stick it on youtube under the heading "Definition of arrogance".

Seriously, anything you accuse Dawkins of, you could accuse his opponents of 10 fold.

Once you have read one of his atheist books, you have read them all. Every other book is basically a repeat. His public speeches are all the same, the quips, the points, everything, you can even time them, they are so predicable. In fact most of the "Four Horsemen" as the same. They have nothing new to add to the debate.
Not that what they are saying in not worthwhile, just that that is all they say.

Very true... I watched Dawkins on "have your say" a few years ago debate with callers and a catholic priest and the only one's losing it on live TV are those debating him by being unable to prove their points that they deluded themselves with.

your hitler what?

Im saying the guy is not stupid nor does what he says seem at all crazy, but his unhealthy way of solving the problem by "converting" people are as stupid as most atheists believe religions to be ;)

Ps sorry I am not a grammar Nazi so our jokes are not funny :p:D

I wasn't talking about his opponents, I was talking about him.

So, when Dawkins [ame="http://www.amazon.com/River-Out-Eden-Darwinian-Science/dp/0465069908"]says in one of his books[/ame]:

The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference. As that unhappy poet A.E. Housman put it: ‘For Nature, heartless, witless Nature Will neither care nor know.’ DNA neither cares nor knows. DNA just is. And we dance to its music.”

Is it well reasoned to argue that it is evil to describe a child as a Muslim child or a Christian child? Do you think it was carefully constructed?
