Johannesburg - The ANC Youth League on Tuesday gave 800m gold medal winner Caster Semenya R60 000 to "relax".

Mbulaeni Mulaudzi, who won gold for winning the 800m race at the International Amateur Athletics Federation's World Championships in Berlin would get R40 000 from the league, its president Julius Malema told a press briefing at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.

Long jump silver medallist Khotso Mokoena would get R25 000.

They just go to Daddy Zuma and he takes the money out of our taxes and gives it to his favourite son Malema to do with what he wants.

I've Paid £11666 in taxes in the last year and Im glad it not going in their pockets!
 
This is unfair - in the socialist utopia envisaged by Malema & Co all of us should have received this payment. Only paying those that excel is the cornerstone of capitalism.

If it's not our taxes paying for this, which I am sure it is, then it's definitely Daddy JZ squeezing Schabir Shaik for more. I mean, the more SS pays the longer he's out on 'medical' parole? :D

Commons Speaker heading a review of MPs' expenses spends �700,000 on his home improvements - and nearly �1m on his garden

The official residence of Commons Speaker Michael Martin has received improvements costing over �700,000 since he took the job - and nearly �1million on his garden, newly released figures have revealed.

More than �100,000 a year has been spent on average on items including furniture, art and air conditioning for the Grade 1-listed apartments.

Another �992,000 has been spent on Speaker's garden, although most of the costs have gone on improving security since 9/11.

The figures were released to the Daily Telegraph under the Freedom of Information Act and come as the Speaker is under intense pressure over MPs' expenses.

They show that �148,900 has been spent on furniture, �191,000 on a new air-conditioning system, �13,000 on art and �291,000 on "building restoration and refurbishment" in Speaker's House.

In total, �724,000 has been spent on the residence - which also includes the State Rooms of the Palace of Westminster - since 2001. With the money spent on the garden, the total jumps to nearly �1.7million.

Well... Julias is Casters BF - and thats the only time he will get lucky without using his hand.(joke.. but may be true, you never know)
Maybe 'ladies of the Night' that can run fast are also called Athletes in his book. he has just pleaded IGNORANCE to a court about woman.

Imagine if we had a white athlete who won say a silver or bronze, would he qualify, or would there be any such award? (can be racist and be truthful, at the same time)
