I know of 3 iBurst users who were told by the bandwith report they had used more bandwith than they had, then I know of a few who were told they had used less bandwith than they had. Some people wrote to iBurst and phoned the helpdesk and some of those people were the people who had actually recieved more Gbs than they should have, as a result WBS has reset the bandwith counter and started us all from scratch again, so if you used 8GB on april 1st as some have, it will all be erased :)
Heres the email from WBS:

Email From WBS said:
Due to what may have been unfair accounting of bandwidth usage for certain subscribers, WBS has decided to reset subscriber bandwidth consumption counters, and restart counting as of midnight 1 April.

As a result of this, momentary loss of connectivity will be experienced at midnight 1 April. This is not expected to last more than 2 minutes.

Thank you for your support.

Regards,

WBS Helpdesk

even though the monitoring page is down? it probably has nothing to do with the stats database, but i have a feeling that during testing theyll be stupid enough to reset the database every time there is a problem-people seem to work that way until the problem is resolved. so i predict that were still in leeeeech mode.

yes it has been down but it is also a front end, the database is not on the webserver, all the app on the webserver does is connect to the database on the server that counts the bandwith and retrieve information, so while the site is down they are still counting our bandwith

thats what i impied in my post, but i also said i think they will reset the database anyway because its not working

Im a nut as I used 8.59GB (up and down stream). As for today, im not going crazy yet, but should find out what happens to my connection later, when I hit the "cap".

EXACTLY - so their system is still screwed, as i thought... keep up posted gigtech.

its not screwed it is like every other system, will the system cap you immediatly as you hit 3gb? no because if they had a proccess running for every user counting every byte so it could cap as you went 1byte over the limit it would cause massive slow down, the thing is they either use one or both of the following methods:

they either run a check once a day (could be twice a day), see the users that have exeeded the limit and mark the account as capped and throttle service from there

or they can only throttle from the first connection after an account is flagged, so you could get away with 16Gb if you were downloading non stop for 2 days but once you recconect, bam you're capped

are ou guys honestly complaining about not getting capped? am i reading that correctly??

I dont think the system is screwed, I just think with the server move it may or may not have given us extra time, I would assume they are still counting bandwith now but may not be in a position to cap us untill the bandwith meter is back, because if they capped us and we couldn't see our usage for ourselves before we got capped you guys would complain about that too, so maybe while you're complaining they are just being overly fair

The helpdesk is back and the bandwith counter was indeed reset however it doesn't seem to have counted from midnight last night, at least for me anyway. So after using not much bandwith at all today, 1.5GB I still have an account with 7GB remaining (the original 3 + 4 I bought)
