Moving to CT, what do you guys suggest?

Ello,

I am probably gonna move down to CT next month, just finalizing things etc...Im currently with Cybersmart but I doubt I would get a fixed line etc at first and I hear Telkom really bites there and can take like 6months to get connected..

Is there a reasonable wireless solution that has good enough latency for gaming and web-chats etc?
 
On the Atlantic Seaboard, through my experiences with getting clients connected, I'd say installation usually happens within a week, maybe two if you're one of the unlucky ones.
 
Yep, based on threads seen here, the installation times have picked up.

A few months back when I had my ADSL installed it took about 6 working days.

Why not call them now and find out if your there are ports available in your area and what the installation timeframe would look like?
 
You did not mention where you will be staying. This determines the 2days, 14days or never-days.

But anyway, let me give you a pre-welcome to the Cape, your going to love it down here!
 
There is currently a backlog for DSL installations in CT but they are trying to work through it quickly.

If it's your choice - pick the bowl. SW is hardly Cape Town... MISSIONS!:sick:
