What speeds does Vodacom's HSDPA and HSUPA sync at?

I was reading around and found that HSDPA technology can sync at 14Mbps (on the downlink I am assuming) but am wondering what speed Vodacom is serving it as.

I have read a mixture of answers ranging from 1.4Mbps to 3.6Mbps to 7.2Mbps and had on of their sales reps tell me that if I had the hardware I could sync at 14Mbps (not sure if I believe her though).

And with HSUPA I've seen that people can expect 3.6Mbps Down and 1Mbps Up.

Does anyone know what the uplink and downlink speeds for HSUPA and HSDPA are?

Broadband Standard - all Vodacom's existing Internet rates, now standard with HSDPA 3.6 as well as HSUPA (device dependent).
Broadband Advanced - Choose one of the bundles below to get access to the freedom of equal in-bundle and out-of-bundle rates. Included are HSDPA with speeds of up to 7.2MB per second with HSUPA for free

Personally I would not buy BBA for the speed. Only get it if you want better OOB rates. Vodacom are testing 14MB, but you probably won't see it available anytime soon. What we need is bigger caps, not higher speeds.

So 3.6Mbps standard with 7.2Mbps if I upgrade to the Advance.

And what are the uplink speeds I can expect?
 
Stop spending money on better Towers & equipment Vodacom, and use the money to make a deal with Seacom FFS

WE WANT BIGGER CAPS for the money we are paying!

If you have decent coverage in your area at least 1mb in my experience, but it very much depends on your coverage and backhaul to the tower.
