I was wondering why the Internet has been so slow since Thursday morning. Accessing our Websites in South Africa is fine, but the problems seems to be when visiting overseas websites. Can anyone please tell me what's going on....

I don't know. Our Telkom has been very laggy and slow too. I've logged it as a fault. We''l probably never know why. The knock-on effect with Vodacom and other networks is apparent.

After speaking to around 6 different people, with less than 3 brain cells between them and the language skills of a water nymph, the service got worse. Maybe it's best to wait.

Yep... same problem. Sentech went down on Thursday evening and from Friday onwards its been like the M1 north with construction at New Road, an accident at Grayston and a truck thats lost its load of bricks at Buchleauch. I dont suppose it will help contact ing anybody either.

Had the same problem for the last week, losing connection and if connected very slooooow.

Reason Slow Sentech

Hello,

If you do a trace route to any web site as soon as you go international it dies.
Below is an example.
I think we should all log calls about this with sentech, as they use Internet Solutions for internet connectivity.
When it seems to leave IS network on to SAT3 (I am guessing do not qoute me) the speed dies. So Sentech IS and international partners need to fix this

Its doubtful whether anybody at sentech or Is would do anything anyway apart from telling you to "reload windows, reinstall the modem and check your antivirus" They never believe anything you tell them anyway. Its starting to become time to move on, but move on to who?

Well, Vodacom @ home witg exellent signal also sluggish past 2 days...

BUT @ work (Univ Pta) first time EVER YouTube was flying. Wonder if TENET is now finally using Seacom...

I normally get over 220kbps on my iburst, but since Thursday, my connection has been jumping all over the show, and eventually disconnects(even with a good amount of redial attemps it still does not reconnect).I became so frustasted that i even stopped using the net....Wtf is goin on??...

I access Vodacom Broadband standard on a Vodafone E220 modem. There was a time when the connection was unavailable for more than a day. The speed is not that bad but not recommended for heavy consumption users. Although I could contact Vodacom customer care I could not connect with personnel dedicated to servicing internet clients. That's it.
