Coalition strategy in Afghanistan failing, admits US

They need more troops. First thing is Germany and France need to live up to their NATO obligations which they have flagrantly dismissed. Pretty disgusting when you compare it to Canadian, British and Dutch contributions. But French and German politicians know that doing their share is a one way ticket out of power.

We won't even mention the cesspool of incompetant buffoons over at the U.N :o

Last time I checked the coalition has killed far more than the taliban could hope for.

Well the U.S could turn the place into a skating rink in a few minutes and that would finish the war :o

Saw on T.V an afghan insurgent caught after running from a gun battle with a bruised shoulder( Evidently from the AK he had been firing) and gunpowder all over him. He was later realised for "lack of evidence"

My friend was in Iraq in 2004 and then again in 2008 and he stated that they've gotten a lot more strict on who you can shoot and who you can't.

The rules of engagement are frankly insane for troops particularly the Brits. Many soldiers/policemen/civilians have lost their lives because of it.

The only contribution the Dutch make to "peace-keeping" is complaining loudly when one of their inept platoons fcks up. Idiots. Quite apart from that - why waste money there... everyone knew what was going to happen once foreign forces piss off out that country - the entire exercise is a waste of time.

Flawed logic, the US's biggest problem is they cannot cope with anything unconventional, did they learn nothing from vietnam?

No, I'm saying if you are going to blame one side for doing something bad then at least make the same disclosure about the other side.

And besides, everyone knows that the insurgents target civilians on purpose. I've seen enough US UAV/helicopter attack footage to know that they try and avoid civilians casualties where possible.
 
Tag teaming like mad to beat down the "evil" Taliban and pitying the "poor" Americans and Brits who get killed for fighting another edition of the pointless War on Terror that will last until explosives are no longer produced and every nation is under American democracy with a UN government in place.

Of course the Talis blow up civilians. Because they understand that if a million die to convince NATO to leave the country, it was worth it. But the Americans who value "human rights" above everything, will stay put, watching the civilians get blown to shreds without batting an eyelid.
