Hey guys,

My wife got to play with a Wii this weekend and now she is looking for one. Where would be the best/cheapest place to get one from now? Most people say second hand, but to get someone that is selling is not that easy.

Any rumours of price dropping in the near future, or should we rather wait and see what specials (if any) comes out for xmas in a couple of months.

Thanx in advance.

Makro have them on special - at R2999

I think it's a George Carlin quote

You are correct :)

And thanks for the info. I have looked at the various forums: prophecy/xbox-360/wii.co.za, but it looks like nobody wants to sell theirs. I have pm’d a couple of people but got no replies. Will give gumtree a go.

Cash crusaders or cash converters.[2nd hand]
They are piling up in these stores and vary from R1900-R2400 with games or a second controller included.
I speak from the Cape Town stores.

I forgot about Cash Crusaders/Converters. Will pop in next time I pass one of them.

Good idea.
You could also email all the branches in your area, and pick and choose which one is best.
I am very anal about it being boxed.
My wife wants a Wii too, she loves the idea of Wii fit.
Could be lots of fun as she is not into games.

I want a wii but the most I would pay for a new one is R1799....

Never gonna happen!

Thats cost price for a new unit.

@ Freakboy: The best I can do is R2500 for a pre-owned Wii with a 6 month warranty if you're interested. Excludes shipping from Pretoria.

Amazing, thats the price point i expect to pay as well.
Besides the controller and ipod like sleek looks, its essentially a gamecube[which i still own]
I saw one on Saturday for R1500!
But it looked like a horses a** and had no controller.
I instantly rejected the offer, would you?
