hi,
Just watched carte Blanche on Dstv on demand and can't seem to find a open thread regarding the arrogance of israeli security in south africa,
There disregard for human life and arrogance in the media in israel is questionable but any person has a choice of going there.
But profiling and humiliating or even questioning a south african in Johanneburg at our airport is unthinkable but true.
I am sure the south african government
Will take the necessary steps.
it is things like this that makes normal people Question israel and hopefully in time to come make them pay for all war crimes.

What are normal people? You strike me as being abnormal.

Silly comment. Israeli airlines have long been the target of hijackers. El Al was the first to implement the security procedures we now have as standard.

It's not a 'silly' comment. I haven't watched the show but if Mossad are threatening peoples' lives they need to be deported out of SA - otherwise if El Al have some nasty search procedures they should let fliers know in advance so that people can avoid them or know what they're getting themselves into.

Either way it's not a silly comment. Last time I checked Sackboy, this wasn't YOUR forum.

any south african who has struggled for freedom would be offended at this,
I am sure we will never carry a "DOMPAS" for a israeli in this country

Yawn, more jihadi BS.

Profiling is an essential part of life, and thank the types that were responsible for making this a necessity.

israel is a apartheid state, they feel that they are above the law anywhere,
Lets wait for our government to deport these racists scum.
Just to add some clarity these israeli scum
Will racially profile a person standing in the airport in a public area away from a el al flight and start questioning them in our airport.

Even if the poster is inaccurate, explain to him why that is so, instead of bashing the man and saying he is 'silly'. I don't know why I'm wasting my time.
I said his post was silly not him. See the next one.

What happens 'airside' in an airport is under different laws anyway.

You said it was silly and you didn't say WHY.

Secondly, there are no different laws 'airside'. The international terminal isn't under different laws than the rest of the country. You're confused with US law about warrantless searches - US customs can check peoples' baggage despite what the US constitution says because in the US border crossings are considered essential to national security where unreasonable searches and seizure may be allowed by the government. SA does not have this distinction and even in the US that refers to baggage and not other rights.

And they are committed to protecting themselves from arab scumbags like the Pallies (terrorist states) that are hell-bent on "wiping them off the map".

Simple, subject yourself to their security checks, or just don't fly on their aircraft

@PeterCH Did you watch the show bud? While I agree with you most of the time, I think you should do first what Sak asked :D The Israeli have their reasons to act that way, take this one from me. Have you ever visited Israel? Security checks is part of 'everyday life' over there. And, by looking how things are in SA, probably they should be part of everyday life in South Africa too.

It's their aeroplane, they get to say who flies in it or goes near it or the boarding gate and you bet your bottom dollar that their arrangement with ACSA permits this. You don't like it. Don't go to Israel.

As for Israel being an apartheid state, don't come with that bulsh%t. Have you been there? Have you read on why and how the Palistinians ended up in that sitaution? Have you read the history of modern Israel? The plight of the Palistinians is entirely of their own making.

Little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

They used to be.

Anybody in SA who suffered under the threat of terrorist bombs and mines would sympathize with the Israelis.

Different airlines have different standards of security, Qantas for example is pretty fussy about what they let you take on board.

Yes yes, but not to the extent of foreign agents strip searching South Africans in South Africa.

Even the guy they were interviewing said that had no legal grounds for doing that.

My understanding is that once someone has gone through customs they're subject to international law?

#%$# LEARN TO READ DAMN IT!!

And while you at it go read about Palestine 1875 - 1943 in particular about settlements, disarming Palestinians and terrorism.. then check who the presidents and pm were post independence. Of cause you will think this all fine and dandy as usual but you will see so many parallels to what they've done in the past and what they push for now only idiot would accept Israeli terms.
