Porn filtering plans for South Africa

I have no problem with them banning child porn, but deciding what I may look at or not on the Net is just wrong...

Luckilly my Pr0n Folder is stocked up - should be able to last a lifetime.

No surprise here.. rica now this, they are going along with the NWO plans nicely.

So, now we go back to the then.

Bye bye nipples ... hello Stars. Oh noez, that picture has waaay too much side-boob.

Actually, I really could not be bothered if they do ban all porn, but, policing the ban is a freaking nightmare in a country that can hardly police the existing laws.

not quite .... they'll just go after the middle class who have the PC's and do mass arrests that way ...... little work to do, just like going after normal motorists and not taxi's ;)

The government is pulling the old "oh its for the kids".. kinda like what Aparheid NATS did when justifying Apartheid.

Ban Porn?

On whose authority? on what part of the constitution? Do they think they're smarter than the rest of us and will actualyl be able to stop us getting what we want?

Don't the officials in charge realize that which they want to do is a futile excercise?

If the Internet won't deliver your pr0n, then sneakernet will...

Today porn, tomorrow anything they deem "against the regime", all in the name of the greater good. This approach didn't seem to work too well in China, but then, our government is not known to learn anything from others mistakes.

This is for banning of porn in the media, if I heard correctly on the radio this morning. I mean you see stuff in magazines and newspapers and prime time tv you would not see 15 years ago. This is not for internet porn, or dedicated porn channels, etc.

Not according to the article ;)

A South African government official is calling for the country to pursue a complete ban on pornography as a way to combat online child porn.
