Sony offers a Sony branded VISA credit card through SonyStyle.com. Right now, Sony is giving a $100 credit on your first qualifying purchase using your new Sony card. For your purchase to qualify, the item needs to be at least $299 (fortunately, the same price as the PS3 Slim).
All you have to do is, sign up for the Sony credit card offer through SonyStyle.com. If instantly approved, you can order your PS3 slim right then and there from SonyStyle. If you are approved but not instantly, you’ll have to wait for your card to arrive in the mail. But once you have the card in your hand, you will be able to head over to any local retailer and pick up your PS3 there.
You will receive a $100 credit on your first credit card statement, resulting in the PS3 slim only being $199. From there you have two options, pay off the $199 and cancel the card, or keep the card and you got yourself a Sony branded credit card to show off to your fellow PS3 owners.
