I watched the news last night and found it strange that the reed dance tragedy could be aired across all channels with many of the maidens topless, yet one could get harassed by law enforcers for sunbathing topless on a beach.
Surely toplessness is the same regardless of culture and race. I would love to see freedom in this regard - women should be able to choose if they wish to bare breasts on our beaches or not, and not feel prejudiced for doing so.
Does anyone know what the SA law actually says about toplessness? Do city councils have bylaws prohibiting the practice, and if so, where can a person get the information?
