I watched the news last night and found it strange that the reed dance tragedy could be aired across all channels with many of the maidens topless, yet one could get harassed by law enforcers for sunbathing topless on a beach.

Surely toplessness is the same regardless of culture and race. I would love to see freedom in this regard - women should be able to choose if they wish to bare breasts on our beaches or not, and not feel prejudiced for doing so.

Does anyone know what the SA law actually says about toplessness? Do city councils have bylaws prohibiting the practice, and if so, where can a person get the information?

My reference is to empowering women and giving them the freedom to choose.

Interesting in the "NUSEFAFRIKA" there is no real law as opposed to the old one. What has happened in the Cape town area and as far as I know there has been no public objection is that beaches on the Atlantic side, Bantry Bay all the way to Llandudno, "allowing" topless bathing. With all the others "not allowing". I think its just a loosely accepted thing.

Of course. :erm:

:D

There are topless beaches here where they won't get harassed /me thinks

Ye... they should also just be able to show boobs on TV without having a 13 age restriction.

Boobs are harmless !

So is his! If men are allowed to appear on prime time TV without shirts on, women should feel empowered enough to do the same!

Heck - just ask most of the girls on here how naughty and empowered they felt the 1st time they tanned topless.

You can ask the neighbour lightie also how naughty and EMPOWERED he felt when he say her tanning topless.

That all depends on how they hang and how theyre swung. I saw a jogger the other day that was literaly doing boxing dodges to the left and right as she was running. I tell you I couldn't bear to watch after that 15th minute!

When was it ever an issue. I have seen plenty of woman go topless on local beaches.

What annoys me most are these immature little tossers that point & stare the whole time. Grow up ffs.

Now what would Mrs Madman say about that...:D

I think toplessness shouldn't be limited to just beaches.

Toplessness should practiced EVERYWHERE. On the streets, in the malls, at universities, at work ... EVERYWHERE!!!
