Sign of the Times !

Last week an Audi A3 decided that my car needed re-arranging so rear ended my car a vw polo 1.6 and the impact pushed my car into the Corsa bakkie with towbar in front.

My car i can still drive - mostly bumper/grille damage and that amounts to 32K - insane.

Anyway i need to submit my claim to insurance and then they recover from the Audi driver's insurance. I called the cop station for them to send me a copy of the case that i reported for the accident which is a requirement from the insurance company.

This was the cops' reply" no i cannot do that, you must come here and PAY R2.40 for the copy" I thought he was joking but obviously not.

Dude ... if you go to the cop shops they even ask if you have a pen they could borrow.

It's ridiculous.

The last time I gave a statement the cop couldn't spell the most basic words. I had to write it myself after 5 lines were scratched out of bad grammar/spelling.

Metro is the same, if they pull you over and give you a fine they can't even spell the stuff thats not on your drivers properly. I figure i should just keep a piece of paper with details so that if someone asks, they just have to copy it.
