AMD Athlon 620 x4 vs Phenom II 550

what cpu do you think is better the AMD Athlon 620 x4 or Phenom II 550? Ive looked at some scores and it seems the to are about on par. Anyone have an opinion?
 
Sigh. Depends on what you use it for.

For my uses I'd take the quad though.
 
very few games use quad core to the max, you will barely see a difference between quad core and duel core
 
so the 550 then? Are all 550's black edition?
 
Most of the time when a game supports more than 2 cores, it only supports 3. Why not have a look at the 720BE?
 
i thought the decision was that you would just buy the hd4890

That missing 6MB cache on the 620 would not make you fell very awesome about yourself or your rig when you switch her on and realize you have AMD's budget quad in your system:D, especially if you can afford a 720BE.
