Not sure if there is a problem with my version of VMC - I plugged in my work contract 3G modem, an E220, to do a firmware update, which went fine. I then plugged in my regular prepay E172 modem as usual, and now VMC shows the following connection type:
It seems to have changed and now shows as a GPRS connection with an "R" next to the signal strength - I think this is a roaming signal?
I can seem to still get 3.2-3.4MBps download speed, but why would this have changed? Will it affect my top-end connection speed or prepay data charges?
I went into the VMC Manage Devices and tried to force the "3G only" option, but its now grayed out'and cannot be selected. I also tried uninstalling the device and reinstalling - same story.
Any ideas - should I try and update the VMC software to the latest v9.4.3.15494?
