Problem:

Unable to open ASP.Net website once the 3G Data Connect card has been installed in Visual Studio .Net or via browsing.

Cause:

The initial version of the card drivers contained a compression agent which for some reason did not work with the ASP.Net Service and either disabled or set it to manual and made it unable to start

Required to Fix:

1. Latest Drivers - Version 4.02.0006 or higher
(Available for download on the FAQ:
http://www.mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=19530

Solution:

Please note: Uninstalling the original drivers and installing the new one's does not seem to fix the problem as the orgininal drivers seems to leave traces of the compression agent behind. The solution has been tested on both Windows XP SP1 & SP2 and working

1. Throw away your initial CD and download the drivers from here.
2. It is recommended to install the required SP before installing the Data Card
3. Install the data card using the downloaded drivers
4. Once rebooted check that the ASP.Net Service under services is set to automatic and running
5. Test an ASP Site or open a site in Visual Studio .Net

This is a time consuming process but I have redone these steps twice now with success on two different systems. I therefore recommend following this process to avoid frustration trying to troubleshoot afterwards. I have also assumed most users needing to use this fix is fairly technical. Feel free to PM if you require specific assistance after or during these steps.
