WBS thx for your abuse policy, my speed now after they left:

Download time: 5.063 seconds
Size of file: 500 KiloBytes
Estimated line speed: 805.8 (kilobits/second)
Estimated line speed: 98.8 (kiloBytes/second)

Labeling people as abusers when it's IBurst's own ****up is wrong.

My speed is back too. But don't thank WBS for stuffing up their bandwidth management. They are entirely and squarely to blame for the substandard performance we have experienced most of this month.

It's like the Kruger Park blaming the lions for eating too many tourists.

hey just cause you have good speeds, does not mean everyone is happy.
I still have no speeds.

Vio -- You are right!

Oh, and I am sure the so called abusers have little effect on my disconnects!
Every 58-72 seconds i disconnect for about 20 seconds

no, i refuse not to, I just asked a person at the helpdesk for the second time today how much I can download when I am throttled, his answer was again, 'there is no limit'. So I didn't abuse jack, I took what they gave me and if you guys are thanking WBS for extorting money out of customers then its only a matter of time before it happens to you. 6GB is abuse now? please, what about people like my brother who bought an extra 3GB when they got capped and then downloaded a GB when throttled, so he basically downloaded 1GB while throttled, over time and now has a suspended account.

Thanks Slimothy, you have the right idea. Anyone who complains at the abusers is full of it. How can you be so blind that you cant see that people are using what iBurst gave them??? I can't believe that there are ppl *supporting* this monumental f***up.

hmm ...

To label people as abusers, when they use what is given to them is not fair, no matter which way you look at it.

Slim and the likes used what was 'given' to them by WBS, whatever the reason for this, ie. Bad bandwidth management system, throttling problems, it doesn't matter. Yes, my speed is also better this morning, but I REFUSE to blame people who used what was given to them by an incompetent bunch of fools.

Bottom line: I agree that it sucks @$$ that they are so arrogant to think they can just disconnect users as they see fit, but I will not hold these users responsible for my bad speeds. WBS is (and will always be) responsible for my connection to their network.

If I was disconnected like you guys, they would have had a lawyer's letter by now!

Good luck, and g0d's speed!

This is something the media should have a field day with! Where is LG?

Please don't try tell me that cutting off a 50 or so "abusers" improved speeds that much. Rubbish. Before launch when far more people were abusing the service speeds of 140 were easily reached.

I happen to fall into the low usage group (600megs this month) and I have had to suffer with rubbish speeds all month.

WBS is definately proving that the nickname Wireless Telkom is a fair one. They throttled speeds all month and now they kill "abusers" and magickly speeds are back. BS!

Either they planned it this way OR the techies are selling management BS excuses to cover for their incompetance. Either way WBS is not doing much to keep me onboard.

It's fantastic to to have the speeds back, BUT, you cannot say anyone is abusers, it's not for us to throttle ourselves, this is what WBS is meant to do. I still have about 400mb to go before I reach my cap, mainly because I had sh1tty d/l speeds. What now, cut us off as well in a day or two's time? No ways am I going to change my Internet habits to suite the incompetencies of WBS. WBS - THERE ARE NO ABUSERS, only ICOMPETENT BANDWIDTH CONTROLLERS!!!

And there goes the nail, with his head in his @$$ :D

SPOT ON!

What speeds

My upload is mostly faster than my download !!!
Even if i was the only one online i am sure the speed would be much the same. They have a major problem with how the users get allocated their bandwidth and how it is monitered. :(

ROFL @ Lions chowing the tourists [don't forget Zimbabweenies that illegally cross the border, not that I think they should stay there ;)].

I really cannot imagine what WBS could have done to create an even worse disaster than their illegal account suspensions - it truely boggles my mind...

BTW, browsing does seem to be slightly snappier for me, but if there's one thing I have learnt, it is that no lekker speeds last with iBurst - I fully expect to have cr@p speeds again in 5 minutes or 1 hour that will then go on for weeks again...
