laptop not picking up wifi router

hi

i got a problem

my laptop wont pick up the wifi router in my house.

my phone picks it up but not the laptop for some reason.

i got windows xp and an adls 5102g router from telkom

what can i do?

uninstall the WiFi adapter in the device manager. DO NOT DELETED THE FILES
scan for plug and play devices (this will reinstall the WiFi adapter)
Check to make sure the WZC services has started in the services (goto >> Control Panel>>Admin Tools>>Services>)

This should do it if not then your WiFi adapter might be up the POLE :p
