Funny Blackberry/Vodacom reminder sms's which arent actually funny

Is there a reason Vodacom sends out the reminder sms to prepaid blackberry users that their BIS service will expire TWO WEEKS FROM THE EXPIRY DATE? It makes no sense. Why not 48 hours? Is it because "4" and "8" sound too much like "fornicate" and the person responisble for sending the sms is a prude?
 
If it was 48hours and you were away on a weekend without coverage you would be complaining that 48 hours is too late. Obviously you can't please everyone.
